ISSE Partners With Leading Benelux Identity Conference For 2009
The Hague, The Netherlands, 6th – 8th October
eema, the European association for e-identity and security, has today announced that its annual Information Security Solutions Europe (ISSE) conference will this year be co-located with Identity 2009, Benelux’s largest annual platform for Identity & Access Management. The partnership promises an even more extensive programme of keynotes, debates and sessions delivering exclusive insights into the latest developments in security and identity management.
Owned and run by the Institute for International Research (IIR) in The Netherlands, Identity is in its sixth consecutive year and attracts over 200 experts and end users to share the most crucial updates and developments on new identity technologies. Running alongside ISSE on the 6th and 7th October, the conference will address high-level key issues such as governance, risk management, compliance and reducing costs associated with identity access management (IAM).
ISSE 2009 is co-organised by The Municipality of The Hague, alongside regular eema partners, the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and non-profit ICT organisation TeleTrusT, with support from the Netherlands independent association, ecp.nl. The event is aimed at IT, policy and decision makers, senior level management charged with protecting their corporate infrastructure, as well as government practitioners and legal/compliance/regulatory professionals.
“The partnering of the two events will provide the perfect environment for learning and exchanging experiences and best practice with security and identity peers,” comments Executive Director of eema, Roger Dean. “The Hague is the industry hub of The Netherlands and will attract a strong contingent of European delegates to the conference.”
ISSE is Europe's only independent, interdisciplinary, security conference. Now in its eleventh year, this three-day event will attract over 400 representatives from across Europe, providing an informal and stimulating environment for attendees to learn, share experiences and explore solutions with their European counterparts, focusing on security and related issues like cost of ownership, risk management and interoperability.
Both conferences will also see strategic supplier/end user partnerships honoured with the 11th annual eema Award for Excellence in Secure Electronic Business and the sixth annual IIR Identity Award. The eema Award for Excellence, which was won last year by SURFnet and Everett for their identity federation project for higher education and research, goes to a leading European organisation within the ICT security field. The IIR Identity Award is presented to the most innovative identity management implementation in The Netherlands.
For registration, delegate fees and further details, please visit the conference website at: http://www.isse.eu.com. Delegates registering for ISSE 2009 will also gain full access to all Identity 2009 conference sessions.
