Microsoft Security Chief Joins Cybercrime Debate At ISSE/SECURE 2007

e-identity and Security Conference in Warsaw Augments Speaker Line-Up with Director of Security Engineering Strategy at Microsoft, Steve Lipner

eema, the Independent European e-Identity & Security Association, today announced that Microsoft’s Steve Lipner will be joining anti-virus pioneer Eugene Kaspersky of Kaspersky Lab to debate international cybercrime at ISSE/SECURE 2007, 25th to 27th September, Warsaw.

Mr Lipner completes an opening plenary line-up of keynote speakers, including senior representatives from the Polish government and conference partners eema, ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency), TeleTrusT and NASK. These security experts will address over 400 delegates at Europe’s largest independent e-identity and security conference.

As Director of Security Engineering Strategy at Microsoft, Lipner is responsible for the security of Microsoft products. He also heads the Security Development Lifecycle team that focuses on improving the company’s security development processes. Lipner will join Kaspersky at the opening plenary to address cybercrime, the evolution of security and privacy in the Internet environment, as well as the challenges that evolution poses for policy makers, end users and developers.
